So I was just thinking ...
You're Already Blessed
So often we ask God for blessings, neglecting the fact that we are already blessed. I mean, have you ever tried to go a whole day without complaining? It’s extremely hard. This life, our experiences, the chance to breathe each day is our blessing. And yes sometimes just being alive doesn’t seem like enough. But even thinking of walking on your own, being able to see, the fact that you have a bed to sleep in. We ask, we beg, we pray for God to increase us, but if you’re anything like me, I’m always asking for more. I was faced with the question recently, how often do you pray to be the answer to someone else’s prayer? And if I am answering honestly, not half as much as I am asking for answers to mine. It feels like no matter how much I accomplish, there is so much more that I want. I’m constantly striving to get there. But in reality, I am already here. Living, working, making it. Sometimes I really think the only option is cutting that ungrateful part out of my brain. But I pray that God never takes his hand off of me. He so easily could. Everything I don’t think is enough could be taken away from me in an instant and yet He still chooses me. Each morning, he skips me. On this day, I am declaring that I am enough, my life is enough and knowing that is the only key to freedom. Anything extra, count it a bonus.

So I Was Just Thinking....
Pulled in so many different directions. Hoping that one leads to the dreams that you feel you’re promised, just because you took the time to dream them… work at them, pursue, run after them with all your might. I mean something has to happen right? You can’t work this hard and this long, only to be a failure right? I won’t believe that, as close as it all seems. I’m starting to understand the phrase a little more that “nothing worth having comes easy.” I’m full speed ahead, a living sacrifice for my dreams. Unmoved by the long nights and early mornings, unreturned emails, and neglect. Not having much time to enjoy the simple things because there is always work to be done. Falling victim to the A.D.D of this industry as your brain tries endlessly to process … how do I make this happen? Not just for me but also for God, to thank him for the talent, he planted in me. For those who wouldn’t take the time as well as those that encouraged. For those that sacrificed side by side with you as they missed family engagements and nights with friends to pursue a dream. A love. A love that makes love not seem quite so complicated. That thing that becomes one of the only other reasons you have breath, besides praising his name. And so we live it, life … in all directions, because for us there is no plan B, no other option. We live in pursuit of happiness.
